Dr. Davide Ferraro

Davide Ferraro is Assistant professor (tenure track) at the Physics and Astronomy Department of the University of Padova.

He obtained the Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2013 (University of Padua). From 2013 to 2016 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Physical-Chemistry department of the ‘Institut Curie’ (Paris, France). From 2017 to 2021 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Padua. Since 2021 he has been a Researcher at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, where he carries out his research activity.
His research focusses mainly on the production of microfluidic devices to study the surface wettability and interfacial phenomena and the development of novel biomedical tools for the analysis of extracellular vesicles. He has been Principal Investigator of some national projects (STARS, PRIN, PNRR). He is a member of the Italian Society of Extracellular Vesicles. He has been supervisor of numerous bachelor’s and master’s students and of two PhD students for the School of Materials Science and Technology (UNIPD). He is co-author of more than 50 scientific publications and 1 international patent. He has actively participated in more than 20 international conferences, contributed to the organisation of national conferences, and is active as reviewer in various scientific journals.
